The late great Don Drysdale ended his major league pitching career in July of 1969 due to a torn rotator cuff. Shortly after his pitching career ended Drysdale embarked on a lengthy baseball broadcasting career that started with the Montreal Expos in 1970. But before he was calling pitches and strikes in the booth Drysdale served as a spring training coach for the Expos. This lot includes some Montreal Expos equipment that Drysdale donned most likely between 1970 and 72. The first item is a blue satin button-down Montreal Expos coachs worn warmup jacket that features the Expos logo patch on the left front breast. It includes the Wilsons manufacturers tag [size 50] on the inside rear collar complete with washing instructions. Next up is a red white and blue Montreal Expos coachs worn KM Pro baseball cap [size 7 ½] that is marked with Drysdales 53 on the bills underside in thin black marker. Lastly there is a blue Montreal Expos canvas equipment bag that is clearly marked on either end in white with two pieces of adhesive tape on either side with 53 (his uniform number) written in red marker.
