Crystal clear panoramic photo of the December 1 1928 USA vs Notre Dame football game played at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum before 80000 fans. USC downed Notre Dame 27-14 for their first win in the series and went on to win their first National Championship with a 9-0-1 record. Photo taken from end facing the peristyle entrance. Appears the players are ready for the opening kick-off. In white at center is printed "80000 People Attend Football Game at L.A. Coliseum U.S.C. vs. Notre Dame 27-14 LOS ANGELES CALIF. DEC 1 1928". "D-3925 KEYSTONE L.A." printed in white at the lower right corner. Panorama appears to be in great condition. Framed in a vintage 11 1/4" by 34" frame. Pair of holes drilled in frame at both sides from when it was displayed in a museum.
Includes a Letter of Provenance from the Newport Sports Museum.
