Longtime ace Dave Stewart shined when it mattered most: October. A 20-game winner four straight years for his hometown Oakland A’s (1987-90), “Smoke” started the ’89 All-Star Game for the A.L. and later that year was named MVP of the 1989 Fall Classic (Bay Bridge/Earthquake Series). The three-time World Series champ also took home MVP honors in the 1990 and ’93 ALCS, respectively. “Stew” got his final ring with the Toronto Blue Jays in ’93, retiring with 168 career victories along with 10 playoff wins and an impressive 2.77 postseason ERA.

Stewart actually began his career in the Senior Circuit with the Dodgers. He threw two innings of relief after being called up late in 1978, but the first glimpse of this right-hander’s talent came in 1981. Appearing in 32 games with a terrific 2.49 ERA, the rookie went 4-3, finished 14 games and recorded six saves to help L.A. win the pennant. In the ’81 World Series, he saw action in two games out of the bullpen and did not allow a run as Lasorda’s boys got their sweet revenge against the Yankees.

For his efforts in Dodger Blue, Stew was issued this 1981 World Championship 14-karat gold ring. The face features a large .75-carat diamond within a baseball diamond atop a dark blue stone surrounded by "LOS ANGELES DODGERS WORLD CHAMPIONS.” One shank has "STEWART", the Dodgers team logo and his uniform number “48"; the other has "1981" and the World Series trophy. "BALFOUR 14K" is hallmarked inside the band. The ring comes in size 10.5 and weighs 32 grams. It shows some wear, yet still presents in fine shape.

Includes LOA signed by Dave Stewart (printed in B&W and signed in black pen).
