After eight seasons with the Reds Paul O'Neill joined the Yankees in 1993 with whom he won the American League batting title in 1994 with a .359 average. He appeared in six World Series and earned five World Series rings one with the Cincinnati Reds and four with the New York Yankees. He also played in five All-Star games.From July 23 1995 until May 7 1997 O'Neill played 235 games in right field without making an error. Offered here is Paul ONeills circa 1998 Rawlings Pro-TI 12 model outfielder's glove exhibiting evidence of heavy use and features a fastback model with finger hole. The pocket and web are nicely worn and the tip of the thumb and top of the fingers display wear typical of an outfielder's glove. The glove is constructed of tan cowhide. Stamped into the pinky is the model number 'Pro-T'. Attached to the back of the glove is the manufacturers label and their circle 'R' logo is on front. 'Paul O'Neill' is embroidered on the thumb in black thread. This glove has been photo matched on several occasions during the 1998 season. A notable feature on the subject glove and captured in accompanying photographs is the thumb lacing which is untied. The accompanying photograph confirms this as an O'Neill characteristic. Also of note is the dark area on the back of the middle and ring finger that also match the photograph.
