Reggie Jackson who blasted 563 home runs during his prolific Hall of Fame career won multiple World Series titles with both the Oakland As (1972 to 74) and New York Yankees (1977 and 78). From 1982 to 86 however Jackson went back to the Golden State and played for the then-California Angeles. This lot features one of his game-worn Angeles road jerseys circa 1983. Coming off a 39 home run campaign in 82 Jackson proceeded to collect another 77 hits in 83 including 14 round-trippers. The size 48 V-neck gray jersey features the W.A. Goodman & Sons manufacturing tag on the left front tail which includes washing instructions. Across the front of the pullover jersey is Angels in red tackle twill sporting a blue outline with the A wearing a yellow halo around its top. His uniform number 44 is positioned on the left breast in similar tackle twill fashion. The back of the jersey features his last name JACKSON as well as his uniform number 44 in red tackle twill with blue outlining. The jersey shows good game usage with either coffee or dirt stains on the rear tail. Jackson autographed the front of the jersey in black marker and added his uniform number ("44") underneath the signature.
