If you are a St. Louis Cardinals collector or fan here's a large group of 10 items right up your alley. Each was personally owned or worn by Cardinals long-time mainstay George Kissell. The definition of a "baseball lifer" Kissell spent 68 years in the Cardinals organization. Starting in 1940 he played three seasons in the minor leagues before serving in World War II. He then worked as a manager instructor and scout in the Cards farm system from 1946 to 1968 and coached at the big -league level 1969-75. After that Kissell coached at spring training and directed winter instructional camps. He mentored many players and future managers most notably Joe Torre and Tony LaRussa who said Kissell "touched as many lives as anybody who's ever been in uniform in this game." In 2005 the Cardinals named their spring training clubhouse in Jupiter Fla. after him. George Kissell was still serving as the teams senior field coordinator for player development in 2008 when he died at the age of 88. Nine items are packed in Kissell's personal equipment/travel bag as he would have done during his coaching days.

1) Thick (fall season or winter ball) red satin jacket with wool lining. Older Cardinals logo patch on left chest. Button-up style. Size M. Mint.

2) Light windbreaker/warm-up jacket. Diamond Collection tagging size L. "KISSELL" in black marker behind collar. Two-button pullover style. More modern Cardinals logo embroidered to left chest. Mint.

3) Two pairs of 1981 home white pants identical style and size 36. Rawlings tagging inside rear waistband with "SET 1 1981" flag tags. One pair is marked "Kissell" twice in black with "Ricketts 36 24 81 1" sewn in red. Prior to Kissell this pair belonged to Dave Ricketts former catcher and coach for Cards. Other pair is marked "G.K." in black with "36 22 81 1" sewn in red. Both show solid wear but come as-issued and problem free.

4) Two pairs of stirrups one solid red and the other with blue and white stripes. Neither are exact matching pairs. "Kissell" marked in black on one.

5) 1985 National League Champions and 1986 St. Louis Cardinals daily planners each nicely bound with no writing inside. 1985 comes with greeting card inside from August A. Busch Jr.

6) St. Louis Cardinals National League Championship Series notebook nicely bound. "Kissell" marked in blue on top page otherwise all pages blank.

7) 1980's era St. Louis Cardinals team equipment/travel bag. Red and navy zipper-and-strap duffel made of tough canvas material with two large side pockets adorned with Cardinals logo on the outside. Gerry Cosby tagging. Has a name tag marked "George Kissell - St. Pete Fla" in black. NM-MT.

Includes Letter of Authenticity from Kissell's grandson.
