George Senesky played for eight seasons in the BAA and the NBA all with the Philadelphia Warriors. He later coached the franchise from 1955 through to 1958 winning the NBA title in 1956. This stunning gold satin jacket attributed to Senesky has a large (13" x 10") multicolor basketball patch on the reverse with "8" on the left sleeve. The patch is one of the most beautifully designed sport logos we have ever seen and features an Indian warrior dribbling a basketball with "Philadelphia Warriors" written in script across the image. The number is in blue with gold trim. The cloth trim around the sleeve holes and waist is in red blue and gold knit with red & blue satin trim around the pockets. A wide (1 3/4") red and blue piping runs down each sleeve. The jacket exhibits general wear with the only flaws being a couple of minor snags in the satin and a 1/2" to 1" tear at the base of each pocket that could easily be repaired. Excellent condition overall. Anything pertaining to 1940's professional basketball is exceedingly rare and this jacket would be a worthy centerpiece to any serious basketball collection. One of the most attractive professional sports jackets ever produced.
