Famous capture of Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig in 1927 during their "Bustin' Babes and Larrupin' Lou's" barnstorming tour. Both Babe and Lou are sporting their full barnstorming uniforms while gazing into the distance. The candid photograph's increased rarity derives from the fact that it was taken by a local news photographer. During the barnstorming tour the Hall of Fame duo traveled across the country and conducted the most successful postseason tour in baseball's history. Thousands and thousands of fans flocked to come witness the greatness of the two famous ballplayers. Local talent would join the two icons in conducting games to add to the grassroots spirit of the tour. The photo remains in excellent condition with no major blemishes and a clean image.
