1) Former President Gerald R. Ford typed signed letter originally dated 12/30/1996 on his personal letterhead with original envelope. The letter thanks Chuck Daly for his continued support of the Jerry Ford Invitational charity golf tournament over the years. Ford signed the bottom in perfect 10/10 black pen. The signature on the envelope is a facsimile.
2) Bob Hope signed note on small 5" by 3.75" blank stationary card. "Chuck Daly" on outside and "To Cyd + Terry - Only Best - Bob Hope." He's referring to Daly's daughter Cydney and wife Terry. All done in 9/10 blue ballpoint.
3) John Madden signed and inscribed Super Bowl XXVI matted display personalized to Chuck Daly. In beautiful 9.5/10 bold black marker it reads "To Chuck Great Food - Great Coach Great Menu Good Grunts - Can't Beat - Go Pistons John Madden." Not sure what he meant by "Good Grunts" but his expressions have often befuddled us. The nicely displayed sheet includes the complete rosters for both the Washington Redskins and Buffalo Bills along with their starters on offense defense and special teams. It even has the game's officials at the bottom. PSA/DNA cert# T35043.
4) Tiger Woods Payne Stewart and Corey Pavin triple-signed Hoop Magazine edition for the 1995-96 Orlando Magic. It includes the complete organizational roster for the Magic along with other articles. Karl Malone is featured on the cover to honor him named to the NBA's 50 Greatest Players list in 1996. The three autographs of Woods the late Stewart and Pavin are done in black ballpoint on the cover. "Collected by Chuck Daly 11-20-96" along with the printed names of each golf great are written in silver Sharpie but not in Daly's hand. Full LOA from PSA/DNA (Y04829).
5) Sparky Anderson signed and personalized March 1988 edition of Detroit Monthly magazine with Chuck Daly on the cover. It reads "This might be the best story I have ever read Sparky" in 7/10 black ballpoint on the cover. PSA cert# T36107.
6) 9/24/1991 typed signed letter from the late Lamar Hunt thanking Chuck Daly for participating in a charitable luncheon for SMU (Hunt's alma mater) and wishing him luck in the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. Hunt was one of the most revered sports business executives in history remembered primarily as the original founder and longtime owner of the Kansas City Chiefs. PSA cert# T37561.
7) 6/20/1997 Verne Lundquist signed handwritten note on his personal stationary to Chuck Daly congratulating him for his "services" money. Written in 9/10 black ballpoint by the legendary broadcaster and slabbed PSA Authentic.
8) 12/17/1994 Red McCombs signed handwritten note on his personal stationary to Chuck Daly complimenting him on his writing coaching and analyst skills. Written in 9/10 red ballpoint by the billionaire business tycoon and slabbed PSA Authentic.
9) 11/19/1993 typed signed letter from famous sport journalist and author Mitch Albom thanking Daly for participating in the Bye-Bye Bernie roast.
Includes copy of LOA from Terry Daly Chuck's widow. Also comes with Letter of Provenance from Rich Behar owner of SportsCard Central who acquired many items directly from the Daly estate in 2010.
