From the Christian Laettner Collection, this lot includes his 1990-91 Duke Varsity Letter Certificate and 1991 United States Olympic Committee Athlete of the Year Award. The Duke Letter (8.5 x 11") was signed by longtime Duke Athletic Director, Tom Butters, who served in the role from 1977-1997. A former MLB pitcher for the Pirates, it was Butters who hired a young Mike Krzyzewski from West Point to take over the Men's Basketball program in 1980.

The '91 USOC award, presented to Laettner for his efforts as part of USA's Men's Basketball team, is a larger 10x13" certificate. Laettner's name is printed in large black calligraphy and the bottom is signed by former president of the organization, William J. Hybl, who served during the 1992 Barcelona Summer Olympics, 1992 Albertville Winter Games, 1998 Nagano Winter Games, and 2000 Sydney Summer Games. Both are clean, crease-free, and ready to be framed. Comes with LOA from Laettner.
