With a Carl Yastrzemski model glove made from gold lame tanned leather and flanked by similarly imposing gold-tanned Rawlings baseball this spectacular Gold Glove Award represents the career accomplishments of having won the coveted award seven times in his Hall of Fame career. The gold lame glove rests atop a 6 1/2-by-5-inch tapered square 4 inches tall that features a line drawing of Yastrzemski's portrait on a front gold plate. The two gold lame Rawlings baseball reside on both ends of a two-tiered 17-by-6-inch wooden base with a 15 1/2-inch nameplate noting "Rawlings Gold Glove Awards Presented to Carl Yastrzemski 7 Time Recipient 1963 1965 1967 1968 1969 1971 1977" with Rawlings' iconic script logo flanking on both sides. All elements of what is certainly one of the most iconic and recognizable trophies in all of professional sports remain in essentially as-issued and problem-free condition.
