This exceptional grey-flannel road jersey was worn by Hall of Famer Carl Yastrzemski in 1970. The button-down garment features "Boston" across the chest in navy-on-red felt appliqu and Yastrzemski's No. 8 on the back in like fashion. A McAuliffe main label with two attached tags noting year "70" and size "42" appear on the left front tail. Good even wear throughout with some noticeable staining around the letter "T" on the front and farther down the front at the tail. The back numeral also bears some slight felt loss and fraying of some of the stitching. Yaz enjoyed one of his finest overall seasons in 1970 as he batted .329 with 40 home runs and 102 RBI.
