Hall of Famer Jackie Robinson broke the Major League Baseball color barrier on April 15 1947 when he suited up for the Brooklyn Dodgers and played first base. A career .311 hitter Robinson won the Rookie of the Year Award in his first season and helped "Dem Bums" win the National League pennant. This lot features an early 1960s Jackie Robinson autographed promo ad for the Temple Sinai Mens Club in Los Angeles. Robinson was a guest of honor at the club and this ad was promoting his upcoming appearance. He signed it in ink and added Best Wishes above his signature.
