Dwight Jones is a former 6’ 10” power forward who played 12 seasons in the NBA including four campaigns with the Chicago Bulls from 1980 to ’83. This lot features his game-worn Chicago Bulls red warm-up jacket. It includes the proper Rawlings manufacturer’s tag [size 46] on the inside right front tail just below the seventh button.

The well-worn jacket is currently sporting “RAINS” across the shoulders in heat-pressed black-and-white letters (above the Bulls team logo) as the jacket was recycled once Jones left the team in the middle of the ’82-83 season to join the L.A. Lakers. Ed Rains the next owner of the jacket played only two seasons in the NBA (both with San Antonio) and competed in just 34 games for the Spurs during the ’82-83 season. His temporary stay with the Bulls was short-lived as he never played a game for Chicago and was soon out of the league.

The button-down polyester jacket includes pinstriped short sleeves and a large six-inch-tall embroider NBA logo down the front right side. “CHICAGO” appears vertically down the front of the jacket’s left side in red heat-pressed letters outlined in black on a white background. The uniform number (“13”) on the front and whatever preceded it in that space has been lost to time although the outlined remnants are still visible.
