Photographer Pamela Schuyler successfully captured The Greatest in an intimate moment as he has his hands taped before a fight. Schuyler was a Boston-area sports photographer in the 1970s and this photo came to the hobby this past winter from her own collection. At the time it was first sold at auction, Schuyler recalled, ...the other press went in a different direction. They turned left and I turned right and there was Muhammed Ali in the locker room getting taped up. I introduced myself and thought the taping was so rhythmic. I asked if I might photograph this. He was very kind and respectful and said yes! The Type 1 photo shows some discoloration on the border of the bottom left corner. The back of the photo has been signed by Schuyler, making this a truly remarkable piece. The photo has been encapsulated and graded Type 1 Authentic by PSA.
