Joe Pepitone was a very popular New York Yankee playing 9 of his 13 seasons with the Bronx Bombers. Joe was a 3 time all-star and gold glove winner. Presented here are a pair of Rawlings spikes worn by Pepitone during the 1960's. The shoes show significant game use and wear. The left shoe has some separation of the canvas from the leather soles. On the inside of the tongue flap in black felt pen is the number "25". All but one of the shoelace aglets is missing.
Includes Letter of Provenance from the Newport Sports Museum.
