Featured here is an original Sam Snead match-used and autographed putter handmade and designed for the Hall of Fame legend. Snead played and almost certainly won using this brass side-saddle long-bladed putter at a number of Senior PGA events beginning in the early 1960's. Sam Snead is the all-time leader in PGA Tour victories with 82 (Woods is 2nd with 79; Nicklaus is 3rd with 73). He won seven major championships including three times at Augusta. In 1965 at the age of 52 he became (and still is) the oldest ever to win a PGA Tour event. Two years later he became the oldest to make a major cut and still holds that record as well.
The club head is an official Wilson model 355 with "Sam Snead PAY-OFF" stamped on the very bottom. It has a steel shaft with Snead's customary dual grips still fully intact. The club displays a good amount of use with obvious wear on the upper grip and ball marks on the blade. Snead has added his beautiful signature across the face of the blade in 7-8/10 black Sharpie. The club length is 36 1/2". A typed signed letter from Sam Snead himself accompanies the club dated 10/23/1996. Also comes with a Letter of Provenance signed by his son Jack Snead.
Includes JSA LOA (cert X97203). Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
