This is an important artifact linked to the 1952 Olympics in Helsinki Finland and with use attributed to four-time Olympic gold medalist Harrison Dillard who won two of his four golds at that 1952 Games in 110 Meter Hurdles and the 4-by-100 relay. The jacket is truly sensational showing enormous use but remaining essentially as-issued and problem free. Blazing blue shirt has white color and light-blue and white elastic sleeves and waist; the back has U.S.A. in red-on-white tackle twill affixed directly to the shirt. An Empire Athletic Supply Co. tag appears at the back of the collar. Use of the shirt by the legendary Dillard who also won two golds in the London Games in 1948 in the 100 Meter Dash and the 4-by-100 relay is attested to by well-known and highly reputable collector John Burke.
