Featured here is an incredible shot of Babe Ruth in his grey New York Yankees road uniform posing at the Polo Grounds. The extremely eye-appealing and immaculate copy of the Bambino was captured by Underwood and Underwood in the early 1920's. Crisp imagery and overall clean photograph of an early career Ruth getting ready for battle at the Polo Grounds don't pop up for public sale frequently, making this rare opportunity worthy of any serious collector's attention.
The black and white photo measures approx. 5" x 7" and has a small hole near the bottom right corner due to some paper loss that appears to have occurred from some tape or residue removal on the verso. Otherwise, exceptionally rare Underwood & Underwood Type 1 Photograph from the early 1920's of Ruth. PSA/DNA Type 1 encapsulated.
