As much a part of New England sports lore as the Green Monster and Boston Garden parquet floor Larry Bird ruled the latter venue with a championship swagger throughout his Hall of Fame career. Spared from the since-razed arena the offered chair was autographed by Bird. Standing 32-tall and 19-1/2-wide this sturdy steel framework features four legs and secures a three-panel wooden backrest and a folding wooden seat. On the middle backrest panel Birds black marker autograph shows (9) strength and clarity. On the top panel most of the red paint is gone. The "Beantown" artifact shows years of use with paint chipping throughout and rust about the metallic components. The 8 screws in the top two back panels have been replaced. Due to the size and weight of this piece shipping will be more than normal.
