Awesome Type I International Film Service original wire photo of the 1917 World Champion Chicago White Sox. The White Sox downed John McGraw's New York Giants 4 games to 2 led by the hitting of Eddie Collins Joe Jackson Buck Weaver and Chick Gandil and the pitching of Red Faber who won 3 games. Among the members of that team pictured are Hall of Fame members Eddie Collins Ray Schalk and Red Faber as well as all "Black Sox" players banned from baseball for throwing the 1919 World Series - Joe Jackson Chick Gandil Buck Weaver Ed Cicotte Cy Williams Swede Risberg Hap Felsch and Fred McMullin. Photo itself looks to be in very nice shape aside from a few creases on a corner or around the edge. Large International Film Service stamp on back. Slabbed Type I Photograph by PSA/DNA.

Also included is a ticket stub to Game 3 played on October 10 1917 at the Polo Grounds. Rube Benton held the White Sox to 5 hits in besting Ed Cicotte 2-0. Stub in very nice shape with some creasing but clean with no writing or other damage. Just 1 stub graded higher by PSA. Slabbed GD PSA 2.
