Bill Sharman played in 11 seasons in the NBA 10 of them with the Boston Celtics where he and Bob Cousey are considered the greatest back court pair of all time. Sharman won 4 NBA titles with the Celtics as a player and another 5 titles as a coach (1) and team executive (5) with the Los Angeles Lakers. This lot contains 3 signed items by the Celtic great. The Celtics team issued jersey is from the 1993-94 season. The Jersey is Celtic green with white tackle twill numbers and lettering. The back has the number 21 with "Sharman" above it. The front has "Celtics" above the number 21 which has been signed by Sharman at the top and middle of the two in black felt tip pen. The signature is in great shape and would easily rate a 8-9/10.
In addition this lot includes two action photos of Sharman. The first is a black and white photo signed by Sharman in black felt tip pen. The signature has faded somewhat but is still legible and would rate a 5-6/10. Below the photo are his stats as a player. (Note: The photo states he was elected in 1975 however he was actually elected to the HOF in 1976).
The other photo is a vintage color photo that has been signed in gold felt tip pen with the added inscriptions "#21" and "-Boston Celtics". This autograph is crisp and clean and would easily rate a 9-10/10.
Includes a Letter of Provenance from The Newport Sports Museum. Also comes with two LOAs from Bill Sharman to John Hamilton founder of the NSM one of which corresponds to the Celtics jersey. Sharman was at the time working for the L.A. Lakers.
