Nice group of four (4) different college football game used helmets from storied programs now in the Big Ten Conference. The group comes from the museum collection at the San Diego Hallof Champions and include the following.
Ohio State University Buckeyes: Riddell helmet with 2004 re-certified sticker attributed to OT Kirk Barton based on #74 decal on rear. It has several Buckeye stickers on left side of shell given out as a reward for great plays made. This one has 20 such stickers. Shows light to moderate use overall.
Penn State University Nittany Lions: Schutt helmet with "03" dated mask clips. Inside there is 2003 re-certified sticker but on inner roof marked in black pen "REJECT 5/04 DO NOT USE" to indicate it could not be re-certified for 2004 season. Shows moderate use on outer shell. Chinstrap intact. Player unknown.
University of Nebraska Cornhuskers: Schutt helmet with clips dated "07" and 2006 re-certified sticker inside. Attributed to WR Frantz Hardy based on #7 decal on back. Shows light to moderate use. Chinstrap intact. Huskers were in Big 12 at the time.
University of Illinois Fighting Illini: Air helmet with "00" dated clips and 2004 re-certified sticker inside. Shows heavy game use. Player unknown.
