In association with his agency Rep 1 Sports Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is offering his game-worn and autographed turf shoes used in a 350-yard 3 touchdown performance on the road against the Cincinnati Bengals on December 7 2014. The Steelers won 42-21. While the year didn't end with Super Bowl victories like 2005 or 2008 2014 was certainly the best statistical season of Big Ben's career and earned him his 3rd Pro Bowl. He established career highs in passing yards (4952 yards) TD passes (32) and completion percentage (67.1%) while throwing just 9 interceptions and leading the Steelers to the AFC North division crown with an 11-5 record. Thanks to Big Ben's propensity to give back he is auctioning these to raise money for a great cause. A portion of the proceeds will go directly towards The Ben Roethlisberger Foundation (http://bigben7.com/the-ben-roethlisberger-foundation) which supports K-9 units and service dogs of police and fire departments throughout the U.S.
Bens gold white and black Nike Superbad Pro turf shoes come in size 14 and show solid game use inside and out. There are contact marks on the exterior and even pieces of the field turf at Cincinnati's Paul Brown Stadium stuck to the bottom. On each shoe Ben has added his signature in bold 9/10 black marker. The interior tagging reads SEASON SU14 and PROMO SAMPLE20140718 confirming that these cleats were player-issued only. On both shoes the insoles have been removed to reveal "CIN" labeled in black marker. Original gold laces are present. Photos show that he may have also worn these the following week at Atlanta (another turf field). What a treat to be able to present these gamers to the collecting community.
