Babe Ruth was one of baseballs most colorful characters whose legend continues to grow every year. Ruth who passed away in 1948 was Major League Baseballs all-time home run king until 1974 when Henry Aaron broke his longstanding mark of 714 career round-trippers. This lot includes a single-signed baseball that Ruth has autographed across the sweet spot. The baseballs markings has faded over time while Ruths signature in blue felt marker remains relatively strong despite some noticeable scuff marks across the sweet spot. The baseball itself shows some toning over time but the signature rates 5/10. This item is still one of the hobbys most sought-after pieces.
