On August 31 1950 Brooklyn Dodgers slugging first baseman Gil Hodges became the first player in National League history to homer four times in a single game doing so off four different Boston Braves pitchers including starter Warren Spahn. Gil finished the evening 5-for-6 including a single with five runs scored and nine driven in a 19-3 romp over the Braves.

Presented here is an SGC authenticated ticket stub from Hodges' epic performance at Ebbets Field. Also included is a Brooklyn Dodgers home game program for the game against the Braves. The unscored program centerfold displays both teams' lineups and a fan did circle Spahn as the Braves starter and wrote in Eskine as the Dodgers pitcher which are consistent with the August 31 1950 clash where Hodges accomplished his milestone.

It was recently announced that Hodges will [finally] be elected to the Hall of Fame this summer adding even more value to his memorabilia.
