Very nice condition American Association score book for the August 3 1889 contest between the St. Louis Browns and Brooklyn Bridegrooms played at Washington Park in Brooklyn. Program is loaded with individual player photographs and biographies of all the Brooklyn players. 34 page program also includes loads of period ads the Washington Park Ground rules and the entire 1889 Brooklyn schedule. Large Old Judge Cigarettes advertisement covers the bottom the center score pages. Among the prominent players who participated in game are Hall of Famer's Charles Comiskey and Tommy McCarthy Tip O'Neill Arlie Latham Oyster Burns and Darby O'Brien. By the person who scored the game's account it was called after 7th inning due to darkness. Brooklyn would edge out St. Louis to take 1st place in the American Association for 1889 ending the Browns run of 4 straight Championships. Program in clean condition with tight spine and no creasing to speak of.
