Official American League(Budig) baseball signed in matching 9/10 overall looking blue ink by 10 Apollo astronauts. The Apollo Missions were a series of 3 man spacecraft flights designed to land men on the moon and bring them safely back to earth. This was first accomplished on July 20 1969 when Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin of Apollo 11 landed safely on the moon and returned to earth four days later. Signatures on the ball are: Buzz Aldrin (Apollo 11 - 2nd person to walk on moon) Gene Cernan APOLLO XVII CDR (Apollo 17 - Commander for the final mission and last man on the moon) Alan Bean Apollo 12 LMP (Lunar Module Pilot - 4th person to walk on moon) Charles Duke Apollo 16 LMP (Lunar Module Pilot - 10th and youngest man to walk on moon) H. H. (Harrison) Schmitt (Apollo 17 - last man to arrive on the moon) John Young (Apollo 16 - one of only 3 men to travel to moon twice - drove Lunar Roving vehicle on moon) Dave Scott Apollo 15 Commander(7th person to walk on moon and 1st person to drive on moon) Charles Conrad (sweet spot)(Apollo 12 - 3rd man to walk on moon) Alan Shepard (Apollo 14 - Fifth and oldest person to walk on moon - only one of the original 7 Mercury astronauts to walk on moon and Edgar Mitchell Apollo 14 (6th person to walk on moon). Light even toning with very strong well laid out signatures. Included are full color 8 by 10 photos of Gene Cernan Edgar Mitchell and John Young signing this exact baseball. Conrad and Shepard passed away in the 1990's. Very historically impressive item documenting human space flight. Hard to believe it has been over 40 years since the last man stepped foot on the moon! NOTE: A similar baseball with 11 signatures (missing Armstrong) sold at auction for $21000 in 2012.
