On November 13 2012 former UCLA standout basketball guard Ann Meyers-Drysdale was honored along with 39 other top female athletes from the university's storied athletic history in a special ceremony at Pauley Pavilion honoring the 40th anniversary of Title IX a law that prevents discrimination against women in regard to receiving financial assistance from universities.

Meyers-Drysdale who captained the UCLA Lady Bruins to the women's basketball national championship in 1977-78 was humbled by the recognition: "All the women athletes that walked along the fields and courts and made so many doors open for other young women - I'm just so grateful to be a part of this university and certainly a part of this athletic department and the championships that have come through here from the women athletes" said Ann Meyers Drysdale the first woman to receive a four-year athletic scholarship at UCLA.

This lot features the framed UCLA women's basketball jersey (No. 15) that Meyers-Drysdale received that day as part of a special half-time ceremony during one of the 2012-13 Lady Bruins regular-season games. The overall matted-and-framed item which measures 41.5" wide by 42.5" high includes a No. 15 UCLA white home jersey (Meyers' number during her playing days) and features several shots from the 1977-78 season in which Meyers led the Lady Bruins to the national title Also included in the frame is a special seven-inch long strip of Pauley Pavilion's original basketball court upon which Meyers used to play. A great keepsake celebrating a phenomenal basketball career one in which Meyers even got an NBA tryout in 1979 with the Indiana Pacers the only woman ever to be invited to compete for an NBA roster spot.

LOA from Ann Meyers Drysdale.
