During the summer of 1975 fresh off her stellar freshman season at UCLA basketball standout Ann Meyers Drysdale was named to the U.S. team that won the gold medal at the Pan American Games in Mexico City. The actual competition was held from October 12-to-26 and concluded just in time for Meyers to gear up for another collegiate season with the Lady Bruins.
This lot features her game-worn 1975 USA Women's Basketball Pan American Games uniforms both the red and white versions. Both 100% nylon uniforms possess the proper "Broderick" manufacturer's tagging on the inside rear collar of the respective jerseys including size 34-36 indicators. The red uniform has its v-neck collar outlined in white and blue while the white uniform has its collar area outlined in red and blue. Both jerseys sport a large blue strip with white five white stars positioned vertically down either side. On the reverse of both jerseys it reads "USA" across the shoulders in red tackle twill outlined in blue (on the white jersey) and white tackle twill outlined in blue (on the red jersey). Uniform number "11" appears screened on in white on both the front and back of either jersey.
The accompanying nylon shorts for the two uniforms follow similar suit as far as colors are concerned and both shorts are sporting the proper "Broderick" manufacturerer's tagging on the inseam seams including size "26" callouts and complete washing instructions on the opposite sides.
