Directly from the family estate collection of Barney Stein comes this 8" by 10" original photograph of the 1955 Brooklyn Dodgers World Championship team taken on September 17, 1955, just over a week after they had clinched the National League pennant. The faces and expressions of each player, coach and staff member can be seen vividly in this iconic team photo. The Dodgers would go on to defeat the New York Yankees in a thrilling seven-game Fall Classic that concluded on October 4th. It would be the franchise's only World Series title in Brooklyn.
There is a handwritten notation in black pen on the reverse of the photo briefly describing it along with "For Ron." This crystal-clear black and white original photo was printed off its original negative from the famous Dodgers photographer's camera many years later. The fiber-based gelatin silver print has been professionally matted and framed. This exact framed photo was on display as part of the Barney Stein Photo Collection in 2001 at the Frick Museum in Pittsburgh, PA.

This same image is featured on page 120 of Through a Blue Lens, a 2007 book by Bonnie Crosby and Dennis D'Agostino (forewords by Peter O'Malley and Carl Erskine) that chronicled Barney Stein's 1937-1957 Brooklyn Dodgers photos.
