On August 4th, 2010, Alex Rodriguez joined a group of prestigious men as the New York Yankees third baseman became the seventh and youngest member ever to hit 600 home runs. The excellent power hitter was able to do this during the 2010 MLB season while racking up 30 home runs, 125 RBI’s, and 74 runs scored, all while batting .270 for the year. The Yankees made a playoff run in 2010 as well but fell short in the AL Championship.

It was the bottom of the first inning on a sunny, New York summer day when A-Rod got up to bat against Shaun Marcum of the Toronto Blue Jays. With Derek Jeter already on base and two outs already on the board, A-Rod came out ready to swing big. After going down to a 2-0 count, Rodriguez took a nice swing at an 85 mph pitch and slammed over center field into the stands for his 600th career home run. After the beautiful swing, Rodriguez rounded the bases and met Jeter at home plate for a memorable hug and was met by his teammates on the field as the dugout cleared to congratulate him on his feat.

This is the exact bat Alex Rodriguez used to park his 600th career home run over center field on August 4th, 2010. The Louisville Slugger C271L model bat is in amazing shape for a game used bat, showing no signs of cracking. Game use is seen throughout the bat in ball marks, cleat imprints, and bat rack streaks. Rodriguez beautifully inscribed “game used 600 Home Run 8-4-2010 at Yankee Stadium” along with his signature in silver permanent marker. This amazing piece of memorabilia in excellent condition is accompanied by an MLB Authenticated hologram (Certification #: FJ095970) and a full LOA from Alex Rodriguez himself. Photomatch Resolution has also photo matched this bat to the exact date on 8-4-2010 (Certification #: RA0620192). An amazing artifact from a surely memorable moment for the Yankees third baseman. Accompanied by a full LOA from Beckett (A53531)
