New York Mets pitcher Matt Harvey turned in a gem of a performance on May 7 when the visiting Chicago White Sox came to Citi Field for an interleague match-up. Facing 28 batters the lanky 6 4 right-hander struck out 12 and yielded just one hit for a 1-0 complete game shutout. This lot includes Harveys game-worn Mets home jersey used during the masterful outing. The size 48 Majestic Authentic 100% polyester jersey is cream-colored with blue pinstripes a home alternate jersey color variation the Mets first introduced in 2010. The jersey sports blue tackle twill lettering and numbering with orange outlines covering the Mets name in angled script across the chest as well as his name HARVEY across the back. His uniform number (33) appears on the left front chest and across the back in similar fashion. A specially embroidered 2013 All-Star Game patch adorns the left sleeve as it was hosted by the Mets that season. Proper tagging appears on the left front tail as does a MLB Authentication hologram sticker on top of the Majestic manufacturers label and just above the Size 48 callout. Jersey shows some game use.
