The Golden State Warriors selected 6’7” shooting guard Klay Thompson with the 11th pick in the 2011 NBA Draft. The son of former L.A. Laker Mychel Thompson Klay has established himself as one of league’s best off-guards earning two straight All-Star selections and combining with fellow “Splash Brother” Stephen Curry to form the most lethal backcourt in NBA history. Range is not an issue for either but it was Klay who defeated Steph head-to-head in the 2016 Three-Point Contest. Coming off a 2014-15 championship season in which he torched the nets for 21.7 points per game and 239 threes made Klay improved to 22.1 ppg and 276 treys in 2015-16 as the Dubs completed the greatest regular season in NBA history with a 73-9 record. And when his slighter and more glorified backcourt mate went down with injuries two different times during the 2016 playoffs it was Klay who stepped up huge and helped carry his team to series victories over the Houston Rockets and Portland Trailblazers. His greatest performance as a pro may have come in Game 6 of the Western Conference Finals at Oklahoma City when he erupted for 41 points on 11-18 shooting from beyond the arc to single-handedly save the Warriors season.

Featured here is Klay Thompson’s game-worn and signed home playoff jersey from Golden State’s 110-99 victory over Portland in Game 2 of the 2016 Western Conference Semifinals played May 3 at Oracle. Klay led the Warriors with 27 points as Curry sat out with a sprained knee. He averaged 31 ppg in the series as the Dubs closed it out in five before moving on to the Conference Finals against the Thunder. While the season did not end the way Klay and company had foreseen it clearly put Thompson in the discussion as the best two-way guard in the NBA. He is currently playing for USA Basketball at the 2016 Rio Summer Games as the men’s team seeks their third straight Olympic gold medal.

The white mesh jersey sports a large blue Golden State Warriors team crest that is chain-stitched to the front with Klay’s No. “11” appearing at center next to the Bay Bridge silhouette in gold. An arched "THOMPSON" is sewn directly onto the shirt across the upper back with a large No. “11” below both coming in blue tackle twill. Above the player name is the official NBA embroidered logo patch. The neck has blue and gold trim; the arms have just blue trim. On the front left tail is the proper “Adidas climacool size XL” manufacturer's tag and a LENGTH +2” flag tag. Adjacent is the official NBA authentication code "GWA 04029." The left inseam has a size “XL2” materials tag with washing instructions and another Adidas tag that reads "09/15 AY9590 AZB012." On the inside of the rear collar is a size "XL2" tag positioned just below a sewn-in gold-colored tag with "4X" and a Larry O'Brien trophy rendition.

Thompson has autographed the back next to his number in thick 7/10 black marker. The jersey was obtained through an impeccable NBA source (wishes to remain anonymous) who attests to Klay signing the shirt in person right after the game. It comes washed and exhibits appropriate game use with minimal pilling or fraying evident. Impressive game from the guy with the most picture-perfect jumper you'll ever see.
