The Cubs signed Jason Heyward in 2015 to a large contract and while he may not have hit to their liking J-Hey was a major part of the team's epic WorldSeries run in 2016 that ended the longest title drought in pro sportshistory. The 27-year-old right-fielder added his third straight Gold Glove (4th overall) playing essentially flawless defense which made up for his somewhat lackluster results at the plate where he hit .230 with 7 HR 61 runs and 49 RBI. This lotfeatures Heyward's game-used bat from the Cubbies' 2016 championship season.
The 34" 31.5 oz. Louisville Slugger 113H professional model black bat is engraved in the barrel his name and team. The bat reflects excellent game usage with a light coating of Mota stick running up the handle which has a long 10" crack. Plenty of ball contact and cleat marks on the barrel. The knob is stamped with the "02/23/16" manufacturing date and "34.0/31.5" for the lengthand weight. His uniform No. "22" is marked in silver felt pen on the knob and hollowed-out barrel end. TheMLB Authentication hologram confirms use on 5/18/16 in a 2-1 win in 13 innings over the Brewers. Heyward broke this bat on a single in the 10th inning.
