One of the greatest hitters of the modern era Miguel Cabrera has rewritten the record book in his 13-year MLB career that is surely ticketed for Cooperstown. With a .321 lifetime average 408 home runs and 1445 RBIs already at the tender age of 32 his immortality is a done deal and a pair of MVP Awards along with the first Triple Crown since 1967 didnt hurt either. This Cabrera gray game-used Detroit Tigers button-down road jersey comes from a May 13 2014 contest against Baltimore when Cabrera connected on a three-run home run in the top of the 9th inning off Orioles closer Tommy Hunter to lift his team to a 4-1 victory. Detroit appears scripted across the chest with CABRERA across the top back and his No. 24 on both sides in navy blue on orange and white tackle twill. The front left tail of the jersey features a Majestic Authentic Collection manufacturers label with a white strip tag below that reads 24 46 14 462. Tigers clubhouse manager Jim Schmakel marked the manufacturers label JSG in black sharpie to verify the jersey was worn by Cabrera. The jersey shows moderate game use and is verified under the MLB Authentication program (EK 062747).
