Offered here are two complementary items to celebrate Spain’s triumph at the 2023 UEFA Nations League Finals. The star of this important European National Team event hosted by the Netherlands was Spanish midfielder Rodrigo Hernández Cascante. Rodrigo, or Rodri as he is usually called, was named “Player of the Tournament” and “Player of the Finals” after he helped lead La Roja to a tight victory on penalty kicks (5-4) after a scoreless battle with Croatia. The 29-year-old Madrileño has been a fixture with the Spanish National Team since 2018 (57 caps), succeeding the now-retired Sergio Busquets at defensive midfield seamlessly and currently serving as team captain. On the club side, Rodri has enjoyed enormous success with Manchester City during their unprecedented run of four straight Premier League titles (2020-24) that included a historic “continental treble” in 2022-23 (EPL, FA Cup & UCL).

First, we have one of Rodri’s player-issued match shirts from Spain's 2023 UEFA Nations League Final against Croatia on June 18th in Rotterdam. Each player is issued at least two shirts for every scheduled match, and this unworn Rodri shirt ended up with the team kitman after Spain's nerve-racking triumph. Rodri played the entire 120+ minutes and calmly converted his PK attempt to help seal the deal after two extra time draws. The red Spain National Team shirt made by Adidas has "RODRIGO" and his number "16" on the back in yellow gold. The upper chest as an Adidas logo on the right and Spain’s RFEF team crest on the left, with the match-up, date and location in the middle. Rodi’s No. "16" appears on the front in yellow gold as well. The shirt is properly tagged by Adidas (size M) inside the collar has the UEFA Nations League patch on the right sleeve with a "UEFA Foundation for Children" patch on the left sleeve. The “Authentic Adidas 2022” label appears on the right front tail with the 100% polyester materials tag and wash instructions inside the left shirttail.

The second piece is a lovely 2023 UEFA Nations League Champion’s medal issued to a Spain staff member. One side has “UEFA NATIONS LEAGUE” and “The Netherlands, 2023” in raised relief with a depiction of the trophy. The other side has “UEFA NATIONS LEAGUE” in raised relief at the top, the tournament’s flag logo at center, and “FINALS, 2023” in black font at the bottom. This is the exact version issued to players. It comes attached to its blue UEFA Nations League ribbon and includes its black silk pouch branded with RFEF (Real Federación Española de Fútbol or Royal Spanish Football Federation), the governing body of the Spanish National Team. Weight 133 grams (including ribbon); diameter 60 mm; thickness 5 mm. Condition: Mint. Both items were sourced from a staff member of the Spain National Team (RFEF). The jersey comes with a letter of authentication from MEARS.

Note: There is a former Spanish National Team player named Rodrigo Moreno Machado who also went by Rodrigo, but this was a different player. Born in Brazil and raised in Spain, he played for La Roja 2014-2023. His final time competing for Spain was at the 2023 Nations League tournament, but he wore #9 and did not see action in the Finals.
