For a franchise that had waited more than two decades for a title, and seven decades for one in Los Angeles, the Super Bowl LVI victory called for something extraordinary. The Rams’ 2021 championship was their first since the 1999 season and their first as an L.A. club since 1951, and the organization answered with what is widely regarded as the most lavish and costly ring in NFL history. This example was awarded to front office staffer Bruce Martin.

A size 10 “B” version ring, and quite possibly the largest “B” level Super Bowl ring ever produced, the piece is a miniature tribute to SoFi Stadium itself. The top is set with a dense field of diamonds, broken only by the blue and yellow enamel Rams logo, while a yellow gold oval and sculpted palm trees frame the face. In a nod to the stadium’s architecture, the top twists off like a retractable roof, revealing a tiny playing field and Infinity Screen inside. The underside of the removable crown shows SoFi’s translucent canopy and incorporates a fragment of an actual Super Bowl LVI game ball, with “2021” marked along its upper edge. Diamond-studded columns give a window into the “stadium” interior. All told, the ring weighs roughly 105 grams and carries 6.4 carats of G color, VS clarity diamonds.

The left shank reads “World Champions” with the team logo and the Super Bowl LVI final score. The right shank bears Martin’s name in enamel along with “Rams House.” Inside, the band records all four postseason wins of the title run and carries the “JBH -598” hallmark of Jason of Beverly Hills, the jeweler behind championship rings for the Lakers, Warriors and Celtics.

Light wear is noted, including minor pitting at the base of the Lombardi Trophy. The ring is housed in its original polished wood presentation case, complete with a rotating, LED-lit turntable and an engraved gold placard reading “Bruce Martin Super Bowl LVI Champions Los Angeles Rams February 13, 2022.”

Rings from this issue have rarely surfaced at public auction. Known comparables include an “A” version reported at $125,000 in a private sale and a “C” level ring at $47,000 that SCP Auctions previously sold.
