With the first pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, the Minnesota Timberwolves selected Anthony Edwards out of the University of Georgia. Now in his fifth season, the high-flying shooting guard has more than lived up to the hype, improving steadily each year to become one of the NBA's best two-way players. Some have gone so far as to call his style of play reminiscent of MJ. The Ant-Man's colorful personality has helped him become arguably the most popular player among fans and peers alike. Presented here is pair of Ant's Adidas 'Dame 7 Fire of Greatness' shoes photo-matched to two games from his rookie season when he averaged 19.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, and three assists per game to finish runner-up for ROY honors.
The vibrant neon orange sneakers come in size 14.5 and are properly tagged by Adidas beneath the tongues with a "11/20" manufacturer date code. Designed with mid-level ankle support and thick midsoles with a "DME FIRE OF GREATNESS" emblazoned tab, the outers are covered in mesh material backed by bungy strings. The blazing fire theme is apparent on the insoles as well. The unique design patterns and obvious game wear on the midsoles (including a noticeable scuff mark on the inner toes of the left shoe) allowed ResMatch to make easy photo-matches to the following games: March 22, 2021, vs. OKC (16 points, 3 assists, 2 rebounds, 1 steal); and April 3, 2021 at Philly (27 points, 1 rebound, 1 assist, 1 steal).
All elements remain as-issued and problem-free. This is the first game-used piece from the Ant-Man that we've ever offered. Sourced from an active memorabilia dealer with close ties to players. Includes LOA from Resolution Photomatching.
