After being pulled up from the minor leagues by the New York Yankees, shortstop Gleyber Torres had to prove he belonged in the big leagues, and he did exactly that. Torres would end up with 24 bombs and 77 RBI in his first 123 games in the majors during the 2018 season. Torres would also contribute to the all time MLB franchise single season home run record by knocking in the last home run needed to capture that very record to beat out the 1997 Seattle Mariners.
Featured is that very jersey in which Torres knocked in the all important, record grabbing dinger. The Yankees road gray jersey has “NEW YORK” across the front in navy and white tackle twill with Majestic size 44 tagging in the lower left front tail and a Yankees team bar code label below. The back has the rising star’s No. “25” in navy and white tackle twill. The jersey shows moderate wear with light puckering, pilling and fraying to the fabric and comes with a Letter of Authenticity from Yankees-Steiner Collectables and an MLB authentication certificate.
