As host of the 2014 World Cup Brazil was primed to add another title to their record of five and eager to prove once again who rules the sport of "football" around the globe. The Germans scored four goals in six minutes (another record) during the first half to blow the game open. Meanwhile their world class goalkeeper Manuel Neuer completely shut down Neymar and company. Germany rode this momentum into the World Cup Final and prevailed 1-0 over Argentina for their 4th world title. It was Neuers 4th shutout of the tournament to earn the Golden Glove award as the World Cup's top goalkeeper.
