Here is a rare postseason jersey from one of the most successful managers of the modern era. Jim Leyland led the Florida Marlins to a World Series title in 1997 and before that won three straight division titles with the Pittsburgh Pirates in the early 90's. With the Detroit Tigers he managed the club to the AL pennant in both 2006 and 2012. Leyland became the seventh manager in history to win pennants in both leagues and was a three-time winner of the Manager of the Year award twice in the National League (1990 and 1992) and once in the American League (2006). Detroit appears scripted across the chest with Leyland across the top of the back and his No. 10 on both sides all in navy blue on orange and white tackle twill. The 2013 Postseason patch appears on the right sleeve and black striping frames the button-down front and collar. The front left tail of the jersey features a Majestic Authentic Collection manufacturers label with a white strip tag below that reads 10 44 13 PL 3 858. Tigers clubhouse manager Jim Schmakel marked the manufacturers label JSG in black sharpie to verify the jersey was worn by Leyland.
