Atlanta Braves phenom began his rookie season by matching Hank Aaron’s feat of recording 50 RBIs by July 18. The first baseman lived up to all expectations placed on him by the scouts, hitting .282 with 32 doubles, 21 home runs, and 76 RBI. As one would expect from a rookie trying hard to impress, Freddie Freeman’s 2011 Louisville Slugger I13L Pro Model bat displays a tremendous amount of game use. The barrel is covered in ball marks and scuffs. Many abrasions from contact with other equipment are visible, and the handle is heavily coated with pine tar. The date “1/31/2011” and “34.0/32.0” specs are stamped into the knob, and Freeman’s number “5” is handwritten in silver marker. His number “5” is repeated in silver marker on the barrel end. The bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA and has been graded a near-perfect GU 9.5.
