Through 19 seasons in the major leagues retired Atlanta Braves star Chipper Jones posted a career batting average of .303 and rocked 468 home runs. This lot features a 2011 game used and signed Chipper Jones pro model bat. From the season in which he collected his 2500th career base hit this Rawlings Adirondack Pro bat shows plenty of game use with dozens of contact marks paint transfers from bat racks and cleats marks. The barrel of the bat is engraved ‘BIG STICK CHIPPER JONES PRO” and Jones himself has signed the bat in blue marker and added the inscription “Game Used.” The handle of the 34-inich bat is covered in layers of Mota stick and pine tar. Jones’ uniform number “10” appears on the both the barrel and knob ends in black marker.
Includes LOA from John Taube of PSA/DNA with perfect GU 10 grade and PSA/DNA certification sticker (4A62682) for autograph and inscription.
