Matt Kemp took over as the starting center fielder for the Dodgers in 2008 and quickly emerged as one of the great stars in the National League. In 2011 he led the league in runs scored (115) total bases (353) home runs (39) and RBI (126). Additionally he became the first player to finish in the top two in both home runs and steals since Hank Aaron in 1963. He has been named to two All-Star teams and has won two Gold Glove Awards (2009 and 2011) and two Silver Slugger Awards (2009 and 2011). On the left front tail is the "Majestic" manufacturers Size 52 tag. Below is the PROPERTY OF LOS ANGELES DODGERS 2010 strip tag. In the inside collar is the size 52 embroidered strip tag. Outside the left inseam is the Cool Base flag tag. Inside the left seam is a wash tag with code "0063". Across the front is "Los Angeles" in blue tackle twill. Below that on the left is the player number "27" in red tackle twill. Across the back is the player name KEMP in blue tackle twill with the player number 27 below in the same tackle twill. On the left sleeve is the official "LA" logo patch with the embroidered "Majestic" logo below. On the right sleeve is the 1955 Dodgers 1st World Championship 55th Anniversary patch. On the back outside collar is the official "MLB" logo patch. The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
Comes with a Letter from Grey Flannel and a Letter of Provenance from the Newport Sports Museum Collection.
