In 2009 the Pittsburgh Steelers finished 9-7 to place third in the AFC’s Central Division standings. Along the way the Steelers sported throwback uniforms on both October 4 (vs. the Chargers) and December 27 (vs. the Ravens). As part of their ensembles for those two games the team also donned yellow throwback helmets. This lot features one of those helmets worn by veteran defensive back Tyrone Carter. The Riddell (size L) yellow helmet includes a black stripe down the center as well as Carter’s trademark eye protector attached to the helmet’s black facemask. Showing ample wear and tear it comes from a season in which Carter registered 49 solo tackles to go along with one interception and one fumble recovery. The Steelers trademark logo populates the right side of the helmet while Carter’s uniform number “23” is indicated on the rear via a black decal. Interior padding and original chin protector all remain intact.Includes LOA from J.O. Sports.
