Presented here is a sparkling team-signed baseball from the World Series Champion Philadelphia Phillies a scrappy bunch that muscled its way through the National League before promptly dispatching everybody they encountered in the postseason allowing the Brewers (NLDS) Dodgers (NLCS) and the Tampa Bay Rays (World Series) but a single victory each along the way. The oldest continuous one-name one-city franchise in all of American professional sports the victory took on historic dimensions as the second World Series title in team history with the first having occurred 28 years before.Manager Charlie Manuel has signed on the sweet spot of this 2008 World Series Official MLB Selig ball that boasts 28 bold blue ballpoint signatures from a team that boasted of a roster including Ryan Howard Chase Utley Shane Victorina Jimmy Rollins Geoff Jenkins Pat Burrell Cole Hamels Jamie Moyer Brett Myers Adam Easton Kyle Kendrick et. al. Its a great artifact (housed in a plastic cube) commemorating the clubs second World Series title in its colorful history.
