Turns out that once youve shoved aside a pesky curse that kept the team from winning a World Series title for 86 years the wait for the next one might not be so onerous. In Baahston three years sounds about right. And so the Red Sox found themselves atop the baseball world once again in 2007 after posting the best record in the league and never relinquishing the East Division lead after April 18 then quickly dispatching the Angels in three games in the ALDS the Indians in seven in the ALCS and then sweeping the Rockies in the World Series for good measure. Manager Terry Francona has signed on the sweet spot of this 2007 World Series Official MLB Selig ball that boasts 24 signatures from a roster that includes the likes of Ortiz Ramirez Varitek Youkilis Pedroia Martinez Schilling Wakefield Ellsbury Drew Crisp Matsuzaka Papelbon et. al. Its a great artifact commemorating the clubs second World Series title in four years. The signatures are bold ballpoint and come with a Letter of Authenticity from Major League Baseball which has affixed its authentication hologram to the ball below the Rawlings trademark (BB 720553). An edition size for the baseball (housed in a plastic cube) is penned in the same ballpoint alongside Franconas signature on the sweet spot.
