Featured here is a lovely 2006 Torino Winter Olympics torch used in the flame relay from Olympia Greece to the Italian host city also called Turin. Designed by Pininfarina of Torino the unique look is intended to resemble the front of a ski as well as the Mole Antonelliana building in Turin. It is certainly a modern interpretation of the traditional wooden torch. Made of blue techno-polymer-coated aluminum it is curved to a length of 34.5 inches (88 cm) and weighs over 4 lbs. Stamped on the shaft is "torino 2006" with the logo from these Games and the five rings. The flame area with 13 holes circular holes for the burning Olympic Fire shows obvious darkened signs of being lit. A number "177" sticker is located on the bottom of the handle. Overall this torch Olympic presents in Near Mint condition. It comes with its original gray carrying pouch.
