Featured here is a Niclas Havelid Anaheim Mighty Ducks game-worn jersey from the 2003 Stanley Cup Finals vs. the New Jersey Devils. The Swedish defenseman spent five of his nine NHL seasons in Anaheim and played in all 21 playoff games that year. The Devils denied the Mighty Ducks their first cup in an epic 7-game Finals. Still it was a remarkable run for the Ducks franchise that set the tone for a parabola of success in the coming years.
The purple CCM size 54 road jersey has the Mighty Ducks logo sewn on the front and both shoulders along with the 2003 Stanley Cup patch crested over the right chest area. Havelid's #28 is sewn on both sleeves and on the back in white tackle twill with purple and teal piping. 'HAVELID' on back is in white on a purple nameplate. There is also a KOHO brand logo patch sewn on the back above the letters. The jersey has the 2002-2003 MeiGray inventory tag (coded A05992 for authenticity verification) in the hem. It shows light to moderate wear with evidence of game-use in the form of puck and other contact marks on the sleeves. There is slight fraying on the back piping and a small red/brown stain (blood?) on the lower front. Overall it comes largely as-issued and problem-free. What an incredible offering for Ducks fans and hockey collectors alike!
